Court Palette
Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 16, 2026
This policy explains how Court Palette handles information. It covers two things:
- The Court Palette app, a publishing tool that uploads recap videos to the Court Palette YouTube channel through the YouTube API Services.
- This website.
Court Palette is an independent project run from Norway. Contact: courtstatspallete@gmail.com
YouTube API Services
The Court Palette app uses YouTube API Services. By using the app you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Who uses the app
The app is used only by the owner of the Court Palette YouTube channel, on their own computer, to publish videos to that channel. It is not offered to the public, and no other person is asked to sign in with Google.
Google user data the app accesses
| Permission (scope) | What it is used for |
|---|---|
| youtube.upload | Uploading recap videos, with title, description, tags and publishing time, to the Court Palette channel. |
| youtube | Creating and maintaining Court Palette’s own recap playlists (one per team per season, plus one for the whole season), adding each uploaded video to them, and reading the channel’s name and ID to confirm that uploads go to the right channel. |
The app does not change or delete existing videos, and does not access comments, subscribers, analytics, email, contacts or any other Google account data. The only playlists it creates or edits are its own recap playlists.
How the data is stored
- The OAuth refresh token is stored in a local file on the channel owner’s computer. It is never sent to any server other than Google’s.
- The app keeps a local log of the videos it has uploaded (YouTube video ID, title and upload time) to avoid uploading the same game twice.
- The app keeps a local list of the IDs of the playlists it has created, so it does not create the same playlist twice.
- No Google user data is stored on this website or on any other server controlled by Court Palette.
Sharing
Court Palette does not sell, rent, share or transfer Google user data to anyone, and does not use it for advertising or to train AI models. Data is only exchanged directly between the app and Google’s APIs.
Court Palette’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention, deletion and revoking access
- Tokens are kept until access is revoked or the app is uninstalled. When access is revoked, the local tokens are deleted.
- You can revoke the app’s access at any time from the Google security settings page.
- To ask for any stored data to be deleted, email courtstatspallete@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days.
This website
This website has no user accounts, comment forms, newsletter or advertising, and does not use analytics or tracking cookies. Like any website, the hosting provider (Hostinger) processes technical data such as IP address and browser type in server logs to deliver and protect the site. If you email us, we use your address only to reply.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of personal data about you, and you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet). Contact courtstatspallete@gmail.com.
Changes
